PERFECT INFINITIVE

 
There’s always a first time, and this is it: my very first webcam blog, featuring a brand new recording of my poem ‘Infinity, and So Forth’, filmed just a few feet away from the site of its composition, and a sneak preview of a new self-portrait.

Here is the painting, which is approximately 10 x 14 inches, in close-up:

    I do agree that your self portrait could do with a little more work. As it is it does not do credit to one of this country's finest examples of the thinking womans red hot totty!

    The scientist asks questions with formulas, the poet with words. I prefer the poet's questions for they seem more honest, allowing for a wider range of answers, including the divine.
    Perhaps in one sense the artist's portrayal of himself is more honest than the photographer's-who may get an exact likeness but not the heart, or not what the heart wants to say.
    The poem is so thought provoking, prompting me to listen several times to appreciate it and begin to understand it.
    The dark colors of the portrait seem sad or foreboding, or perhaps they are merely pensive as well?
